Andy Murray finds himself in his first Grand Slam quarter-final when he plays world number two Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon on Wednesday.
However, this is Wimbledon - and a nation expects yet another special performance from its 21-year-old tyro. Former British number one Greg Rusedski tells BBC Sport about Murray's recent progress and how he can beat Nadal for the first time.
Murray’s strenght
When Murray flexed his bicep after his marathon five-set victory against Richard Gasquet on Monday night, it wasn't to show he can outmuscule the powerful Nadal.
The gesture was for his two physical trainers Matt Little and Jez Green, who have helped him become one of the fittest players in tennis.
And according to Rusedski, his new-found physical strength has helped fortify his mental game too.
"The fitter you are, the mentally stronger you are and the combination of the two is very good," he said.
"The true test will be to see how he bounces back from his match with Gasquet when he takes on Nadal - that's when we will see where his fitness really is at.

Improved Attitude
The tantrums and histrionics of the enfant terrible of two years ago have long gone. Instead, Murray has become a more focused and mature player since entering the world's top 10 at the end of last year. "He's not swearing, he's not throwing his racquet and that's what he has to do," said Rusedski. "If you're going to behave like that you're not going to get through the match against the big players - you don't see Federer or Nadal doing that.

"I watched Nadal's match and that injury he is playing down could be very serious," said Rusedski. "He wasn't moving as well as he normally does so I think that gives Andy a bit of chance now.

Andy Murray si trova per la prima volta ai quarti di finale di un torneo del Grande Slam e mercoledì giocherà a Wimbledon contro il numero due Rafael Nadal.
Comunque, si tratta di Wimbledon. E un’intera nazione attende un’altra prestazione speciale dal giocatore ventunenne. Il vecchio numero uno Britannico Greg Rusedski parla alla BBC dei recenti progressi di Murray e di come può battere Nadal per la prima volta.
La forza di Murray
Quando Murray ha mostrato il bicipite dopo la sua vittoriosa maratona in 5 set contro Richard Gaquet la sera dello scorso lunedì, non è stato per far vedere al pubblico che ha più muscoli persino di Nadal. Quel gesto era stato fatto appositamente per i suoi due allenatori Matt Little e Jez Green, che lo hanno aiutato a diventare uno dei tennisti più in forma del momento. Secondo Rusedski, la sua rinnovata condizione fisica avrebbe fortificato il suo gioco mentale. ‘Più si è in forma, più forti si è anche mentalmente e la combinazione delle due cose è molto buona’ ha detto Rusedski, che ha aggiunto ‘Il vero test sarà vedere quanto velocemente recupera dopo il suo match con Gasquet quando giocherà contro Nadal. Perché solo allora ci renderemo conto della sua reale forma fisica’.

Atteggiamento Mentale
L’irritabilità e gli atteggiamenti istrionici dell’enfant terribile di due anni fa se ne sono andati già da lungo tempo lasciando posto a un Murray più concentrato e maturo quando ha fatto l’apparizione nei top 10 alla fine dello scorso anno. ‘Non bestemmia più e non tira più la racchetta e questo è quello che deve fare’ dice Rusedski. ‘Un simile comportamento non ti fa vincere un match contro i grandi giocatori- non si vede mai un Federer o un Nadal fare qualcosa del genere’.

‘Ho guardato il match di Nadal e quell’infortunio che lui sminuisce potrebbe essere invece molto serio. Rafa non si muoveva così bene come il suo solito e questo potrebbe dare una mano a Andy’.
